A Leadership Retreat Experience for TIFF

We teamed up with the People & Culture team to plan a leadership retreat, focused on revitalizing leadership development after the pandemic.

The Challenge

With a looming deadline of just a month and few resources, TIFF's planning team worried they couldn't create the right experience for the executive retreat.

The Deliverables

  • Provided strategic guidance to help deliver TIFF's people & culture objectives

  • Created the retreat's brand identity and creative materials

  • Designed the retreat experience and story tools

  • Crafted leadership speeches, panel talks, breakout session, icebreaker and more

  • Conceptualized and produced a leadership and employee culture video

The Outcome

Through an immersive experience, managers and leaders embraced the power of collaborative dialogue and solution-driven unity. Together they gained valuable insights into the pivotal relationship between organizational culture, individual strengths, and the cultivation of a behaviour-centric Performance Management framework.

“This was the feedback we received from a 20-year tenured leader who was in attendance. When we set out to plan the retreat, there was a big expectation that it would kick start a much-needed refocus on leadership development post-pandemic. As a small business, the HR group is mainly functional and therefore specialized expertise has to be brought in to sometimes deliver on specific areas.

We were facing a lack of capacity to meet the organization's needs. Plus, we also had under a month to prepare and were anxious that we would not be able to develop the level of material required for the level of Leadership who would be attending. This was my first major deliverable in my role and it was critical to be impactful and well-delivered.
